Almost 20 years later, I have got another '57 Chevy to build up. This one will not be sold off as easy. The car I got is pretty much just the shell, but has very minor rust in floorboards and no where else. Very minor sheetmetal damage as well.

The majority of the body damage was located in the panel where the shocks attached to the body. My best guess is the leaf springs broke, and the shocks tore through the trunk panel. The driveshaft had also worn a hole through the transmission tunnel. Following pics are before and after the repair
